Naturism as selfdefence

In 2011 I was sailing a very beaten up schooner called "Gloria" around the Caribbean islands which make up the Grenadines. This schooner I'd purchased with almost the last of my money for f1500. One thing led to another and having little work but lots of time myself and some friends sailed Gloria across the Atlantic. We had many experiences, not least was the oil pressure on the engine going AWOL. But finally beach bum did fetch up in St Lucia. There my lady friend Helen rejoined us and one of the crew left.
Our next stop was the island of Bequia, the pilot novel warned that the holding for the anchor in the primary bay was not so great and to be attentive of yachts pulling their anchors. Afterward after surfacing we set another anchor out to make sure. The difficulty was that the sea bed was not so deep sand over coral, along with the anchor was having trouble biting.
A few nights later during another squall I 'd my slumber disturbed by the unmistakable sound of double diesels going hard astern, on coming from my bunk and running topsides I saw a sizable catamaran really close to our bow taking evasive action. He had clearly dragged his anchor and just managed to miss us and retrieve his equipment before going away to try again someplace else.
This scenario was rein acted several times over our stay in the assorted Islands. We didn't drag, with no engine we couldn't manage to, so we put down tons of chain and an added anchor at each stop. Nonetheless, after we got hit by two yachts one night in the same time, I resolved to find a solution to this problem. You beloved fellow naturists will like the answer I found to this issue.
