Minecraft streamer and content creator Technoblade has died following an extended battle with stage four cancer, his family announced today in a public statement and video.

Techno had previously disclosed that he had been diagnosed as having cancer in August. He has been updating his community periodically about his situation, while continuing to receive treatment and creating content on YouTube.

Techno's father recorded the video on June 30, and it was posted online. He narrates a final, posthumous message called "so much nerds" which was written specifically for this occasion. It was filled to the brim with the creator's signature dry and often dark humor, but also acts as one final 'thank you' to everyone who supported the Minecraft star over the years.

"Thank you to all who have supported my content over the years. Technoblade is my favorite job. If I could have another 100 lives, I think Technoblade would be my first choice. Techno said that those were my happiest years in my life.

"I hope you enjoyed my content and that it made you smile. I love you guys and I wish you all a long, happy, and prosperous life. Need Realtor Technoblade out."

In his message, Techno, who reveals his name is actually Alex, talks about how the money from merch and other "sell-out" pushes over the last year is being used to send his siblings to college, if they want to go, along with thanking his viewers for giving him such happy moments-all while a slideshow of images showing him throughout various points of his treatment are shown on screen.

Techno's final message is followed by his father's explanation about how he originally planned for Techno to write and record the video. However, Techno was unable to do so due to his declining health. Need Realtor His father says that he wrote the message from his bed and died around eight hours after it was recorded.

Technoblade's father said, "He was one of the most incredible kids anyone could ask for." Technoblade is missed. Thank you to everyone for everything.
