The latest Minecraft developments have mostly centered on the ‘caves’ aspect of the Caves and Cliffs update, but now we’re lastly getting some more cliff motion - or relatively, a big revamp to how mountains get generated, with the addition of 5 new sub biomes to spice up your tall, rocky terrain.

The latest Bedrock Version beta introduces five new mountain sub biomes, referred to as lofty peaks, snow capped peaks, snowy slopes, mountain grove, and mountain meadow. games These will work alongside the prevailing mountain types to create a more varied collection of alpine places to explore. The brand new peaks look spectacular within the official image above, but scroll down a bit to see a fan-made comparability of recent and outdated mountains. It’s a large change.

While this is a Bedrock beta, these adjustments should come to Java as nicely - because the Java snapshots have given us early appears at options like deepslate, glow squids, and the brand new ore textures, it appears like Bedrock beta gamers are getting their own early looks at some new features, too. (This update, incidentally, also provides glow squids and the ore textures to the Bedrock beta.)

You may get full patch notes on Reddit, and a greater take a look at the new mountains on the official site.
