New Minecraft Launcher Launcher Comes With A Grey Screen
System Restore is your first line of defense. It can restore you to the state before the issue began, just like the time machine. If it doesn't help then you can undo it. You can go through the tutorial first, and then restore to the point you were before it started. If System Restore is not enabled on C drive, do it now to ensure it is accessible in the future.
If the problem repeats or System Restore doesn't work then check which Windows Updates were installed at Settings > Update & Security > Windows Updates > Update History, uninstall them there or System Restore again, then immediately check for and block the Updates with the Hide Updates tool explained here: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/8280-hide-s...
Even if you've already tried these steps, please do them over in sequence:
1) Run the Store apps troubleshooter in Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
2) Check for and install game updates in Microsoft Store app > Hub (three dots on the top right) > Updates.
3) Reset Minecraft in Windows Settings > Applications > Features and Apps > Minecraft > Advanced Option Repair or Reset. Restart your computer and try again. minecraft adventure servers
If none of these options work to work, uninstall Minecraft from Settings, reboot your computer, and then install MS Store Hub (three dots on the right-hand side of Store app).
4) The Display driver is so crucial that merely updating it is often not enough. We must do everything to ensure it is working properly.
You can upgrade the driver for your Display via the Display adapter's or PC manufacturer's Support downloads page. This will provide the exact model number, HP Serial No. or Dell Service Tag - as shown on the sticker on your PC.
You can also check for BIOS/UEFI firmware, newer chipsets and network, sound and other drivers by right-clicking the Start Menu.
If this doesn't give you the latest or ideal driver for what you need, compare it to the driver offered by the Intel driver update Utility here: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/... or the Nvidia Update utility here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx?lang=e... or the AMD autodect utility here: http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/P...
For Display issues, one solution that is working is to roll back or uninstall the Driver on the Display Device > Driver tab, restart PC to install driver.
You can also try out older drivers using Device Manager > Display device > Driver tab Update Driver> Browse > Let me Pick.
Then you will know you've tried everything except to Windows Update drivers.
Adjust the screen resolution until it fits and looks best in Settings > Display > System.
5) If nothing else helps then contact Minecraft Support here: https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/requests/new
