The Novylen Minecraft Server located in Canada has the official title of the oldest Minecraft Server ever built, on the 9th of April, 2010, 4 months earlier than the previous owner, MinecraftOnline. However, if you read before, you'd notice that MinecraftOnline was released the same day multiplayer was first created which is why Novylen developed prior to this?

Although the server was launched on the same day Minecraft Multiplayer was launched, the map was actually developed by rbos in Minecraft's InfDev period (specifically InfDev 2010.0413), which was 4 months prior to the launch of Minecraft Multiplayer. To top it off the server has never ever been reset, which means a player could have hopped on 10 years ago, constructed something, and then left forever, with their creation being the only evidence of their existence. Novylen is much less well-known than 2b2t. This means it hasn't suffered the same fate as many other exploits, griefs hackers, griefs, and so on. The server has seen numerous game modes added over time however, the most popular and oldest is the 'Creative' one where players do not have a health bar, can fly, and create anything their imagination desires.

While the server was developed in the early days of the game, some argue that MinecraftOnline is more recent than it is due to the map being repeatedly reset, meaning it's not really the same world it was a few years ago. Nerd.nu's Creative gamemode is currently on its 36th revision, which means that it was reset 35 times.

Since it's founding at the end of December 2010 2b2t has become known as an anarchy-based server, where there is an extreme lack of rules and thousands of players using hacked clients, a lack of friendliness and a distinct beaten-up landscape. What the server is probably most famous for however is its map that, since its creation has never been reset. gaming This means that a lot of players have left in the past, leaving their marks on the server.

2b2t had a steady stream of players during its early days. Through the years it fluctuated between 10-80.
